After a disappointing 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, Super Eagles striker, Ikechukwu Uche is back among the goals in Spain's Segunda for his club, Villareal.

The attacker scored after 81 minutes as the Yellow Submarine got sunk 2-3 at El Madrigal by Elche on Sunday.

Uche's goal had temporarily pegged scores at 2-2 but the visitors snatched a late winner at the death.

The defeat may prove mortal to Villareal's promotion hope as the club are now fourth on the Segunda log with 62 points from 37 matches.

With just five round of matches still left to play, further losses may finally sound the death knell on the club's chances of gaining promotion to La Liga.

On a personal level though, Uche will be pleased to have returned back to scoring ways after experiencing a lean spell that saw him being excluded from the Nigeria squad for the 2013 Fifa Confederations Cup in June.

Uche now has 10 league goals for Villareal this season.

Ikechukwu Uche lost form big time in South Africa. He played very well in Nations Cup qualifiers but played woefully in the competition proper. Good he is improving now.
