The Centre for Research on Information, Process and Software System (CRIPSS) is opened to serve as a technology backbone for companies and the governments.

We conduct extensive research in the areas of database technology; Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems; bioinformatics, automation, algorithm, process optimisation and control, Biomedical Engineering; virtual machining; signal, image and multimedia processing; communications; nanotechnology; human - computer interaction; computational intelligence; distributed systems; integrated systems design and many more.We require highly intelligent graduates who can help us achieve our research objectives. We have limited space for students. Meeting the minimum requirement is not a guarantee for selection. Our minimum requirements include:

• Must have studied Engineering, Science or Management.
• Must have made a minimum of second class Honours
• Must be passionate about developing intelligent information systems, database application, and software systems.
• Having a basic knowledge of data structures and algorithm, Java or C++, Linux and DBMS is an advantage. Though training will be given on these.
• Must be able to work as part of a team, under pressure and meet target.

Our staff base consists of individuals who have successfully completed their training in CRIPSS. We also recruit highly motivated individuals from the industry who enjoy career in research and development. Most of our members have trained in different parts of the world bringing their skills to the Centre. Current Vacancies

• 1) Software Engineer
• Must be knowledgeable in Modern Operating systems design; UML, Java, Linux and HCI design; software requirements, verification and validation;  soft computer and intelligent system design, user interface design with Java, computer security, real time and distributed systems; Jobs include heading a software engineering projects/ research team and conducting lectures in the following areas:
  • Introduction to C++ Programming
  • Modern Operating systems
  • software Systems
  • Automated Systems
  • Software Engineering Projects/Research
• 2) Network administrator
• Must be very good in working with Linux, Cisco networking systems. Knowledgeable in network architecture, application layer, transport layer, network layer, link layer and LANS, wireless and mobile networks, multimedia networking,  network security, enterprise security architectures, Engineering secure software, the usability aspects of security mechanisms, and critical infrastructure interdependencies. Applying appropriate security mechanism like cryptography, message digests and checksums, public key systems, confidentiality, integrity, Non-Repudiation, Authentication, Email Security, Firewalls, IP Security, Web Security, Intruders, Viruses, Access Control and Management. Responsible for networking all servers and clients; Security of the intranet and internet and handling networking related issues for clients. Lecturing assignments include
  • Introduction to Linux
  • Network systems
  • Computer and Information Systems Security
• 3) Database application developer
• Must be knowledgeable in Data structures and Algorithm; Database design; Transaction management; Distributed databases; Data Warehousing; Data mining; Information retrieval and XML; Spatial Data Management; OLAP;  Logic Programming and Deductive Databases; Management of Uncertainty and Incompleteness in Database and Knowledge base Systems; Information Integration and Data Exchange; Semantic Web, Description Logics, Ontology Management, Querying the Internet, Bioinformatics, Digital Libraries, Business Intelligence; Data Cleaning; Managing Semantically Heterogeneous Data; Privacy Preserving Data Mining; Social Networks, Social Media, and Recommender Systems; and Text Databases.  Jobs include heading the Database Research group and conducting lectures in the following areas:

• 4) Web Programmer
• Knowledgeable in working with XHTML, Java script, HTTP protocol and CGI scripts, XML and XLST, Java Beans, Java servlets and JSP,  Java server faces, JZEE architecture, Style Sheets, PHP, Flash, AJAX, Ruby, Rails. Web programming with emphasis on AJAX. Relationships between HTML, DOM, JavaScript for client-side computation and PHP, Java and Ruby using a relational database for server-side computation. Design, implementation, and test of a large Web application. Lecturing assignment includes
  • Introduction to Java programming
  • Web technologies
  • Artificial Intelligence and Human computer Interactions
  • Web Based research /Projects
• 5) Business Development Manager/ program adviser
