Suspected Fulani Gunmen Kill 11 In Kaduna

Gunmen suspected to be Fulanis have gone on rampage in Kaduna State, killing about 11 people and injuring several others, after they staged an attack on Zangang village of Attakar chiefdom in Kaura Local Government, the same local government where a total of 28 people were killed barely a month ago. Those that sustained injuries from gunshots were said to have been rushed to the University of Jos Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in the neighbouring Plateau State for treatment. An eyewitness told Channels Television that the gunmen who came with sophisticated weapons also burnt down many houses during the attack which started in the hours of Sunday and became fierce on Tuesday. The State governor, Dr. Ramalan Yero, through the Commissioner of Information, Saidu Adamu has condemned the attack, assuring that measures were being taken to bring lasting peace to the area.
