Context/Scope:
Route to martket (RTM) initiative of Diageo Brands Nigeria (DBN) is to deliver sustainable competitive advantage for Diageo Brands at retail in the most cost efficient way. The selected route to market model should deliver the following;

Build amazing relationships with distributors moving them from customers to business partners focused on delivering all time availability of our brands at retail.

Deliver a distributor remuneration model based on Diageo partnership for growth principles that enables the development of capability (vans, warehousing, IT infrastructure and personnel) that wins at retail.

Optimise the supply chain infrastructure to support efficient product delivery to selected distributors. This will include a shift from our current distributor selling in method to Vendor managed inventory model (a replenishment model based on distributor inventory and sell-out).

Financial Dimension:  The role is to simplify route to market for spirits in Nigeria, to improve efficiencies in freight, rationalise market dynamics and introduce a flexible and intelligent incremental method to pricing.

Purpose of role - Diageo Brands Nigeria (DBN):
•         Manage developed capabilities and tools within DBN and with distributors to deliver product availability always at distributors.
•         Manage KPI Dashboard that is externally focused; looking at inventory levels at distributor, OOS at distributors.
•         Use VMI to smooth transportation demand and ensure full truck size stock replenishment procedure is strictly adhered to.

Accountabilities:
•        VMI data analysis, sales Order generation, Distributors relationship management, Vendor stock management & control, product availability/allocation to distributors etc
•        Manage collaborative relationship with Distributors of DBN products to drive On-shelf product Availability.
•        Deliver on-shelf availability of DBN products at distributors' level through effective Inventory Mgt throughout the supply chain.
•        Manage Customer  relationship /complaints from trade Partners

Qualifications and experience required:
•         Degree level in Sciences, mathematically oriented discipline or Supply chain Management. Higher degree in Business management.
•         3 years in supply chain management in FMCG
•         Good knowledge of  transportation /logistics management
•         Good leadership behavior and Customer relationship management
•         Project planning and administrative skills.
•         Computer literate in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SAP
•         Fully conversant with inventory management processes.
•         Good knowledge of risk, environmental and safety standards. Works well under pressure and can deliver to tight deadlines.

Barriers to success in role: Inability to engage fully and influence to deliver excellent customer service and value.
