Chelsea In For £25m Gomez

Chelsea are being linked with a move for £25million- rated Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez, should Jose Mourinho takeover as manager.

Mourinho will be leaving Madrid at the end of the season, and is expected to return to his old club Chelsea, although that has yet to be confirmed.

Should he rejoin the Blues, he will immediately splash the cash on out of favour striker Gomes, who has fallen behind Mario Mandzukic in the pecking order in Germany.

Gomez is the latest in a long line of strikers to be linked with the Blues, the likes of Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao have previously been linked, while Mourinho is also a fan of Borussia Dortmund frontman Robert Lewandowski.

The 27-year-old German International scored 41 goals last season , however injury hampered his season this year, and it would be likely that he will seek a transfer in the summer.

Mourinho will be given a £100m warchest in the transfer window, as the Blues look to reclaim the Premier League crown.

If they feel he would improve the club then they should go for him. Would he want to leave a club like Bayern though?
