The Coalition of Oodua Self Determination Group, COSEG, has described the declaration of state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states as an aberration, noting that it would not address security challenges facing the country.
.
Mr. Ifedayo Ogunlana, COSEG Chairman stated at a public lecture tagged "Sanctity of Life and the Nigerian Democracy" which was part of activities lined up for the first anniversary of the death of Comrade Olaitain Oyerinde, the former Principal Private Secretary to Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole.
.
He noted that the problems confronting Nigeria should not be tackled with force but dialogue, through a Sovereign National Conference, SNC.
.
His words: "It is in fact criminal for President Jonathan not to uphold the constitution he sworn to, when he cannot protect the lives and property of his subject. How can we explain several unresolved assassinations of notable and gifted Nigerians which include and not limited to Olaitan Oyerinde.
