Arisekola-Alao’s wife buried in Ibadan

Alhaja Risikat, wife of foremost businessman and Islamic leader, Alhaji Abdul-Azeez Arisekola-Alao, was on Friday buried in Ibadan.

Risikat, who was Arisekola-Alao's first wife, died on Thursday after a brief illness. She was 68.

The nature of her illness could, however, not be ascertained at the time of filing this report.

The deceased, who was born January 4, 1945, was buried according to Islamic rites at her husband's residence at Bashorun, Ibadan.

The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Haruna Saora, in his sermon, urged the people to move closer to God.

An Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheikh Muideen Bello, urged the people to live in accordance with the rules of God.

He urged the people to serve God through service to humanity.

Among those who were present at the burial were the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Moses Adeyemo; and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Waheed Olajide.

Also present were Oba Otudeko, Prince Bola Afonja, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, Elder Wole Oyelese, Chief Lekan Alabi, Alhaji Lamidi Ajadi and Chief Bayo Oyero.

Others were Chief Niyi Akintola (SAN), Gen. Raji Rasaki (retd.), Chief Sharafadeen Alli, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun and gospel artiste, Mr. Yinka Ayefele.
