Job Title: Web and Social Media Specialist

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employer:  Edge Recruiter

Remuneration: 1.4m to 2.7m Naira compensation

Type: Full Time Employment

Job Purpose: To create and manage a perception of the business school as a world-class brand with in-depth local knowledge of business and management among key stakeholders online.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Manage the institution’s website for usability and effectiveness, ensuring timely, accurate and up-to-date content. Perform routine checks on pages and update content as required or as requested by the relevant units.

•   Monitor the website for traffic and usage patterns, and provide data to improve effectiveness to ensure communication goals are met.

•   Develop and manage online advertising and email corporate and product campaigns to meet expected objectives. Prepare reports for departments as requested.

•   Develop and implement a social media strategy to help the institution reach its goals.

•   Identify social media contributors and ambassadors within and outside the institution, and work with them to help the institution reach its goals.

•   Work with others in the institution to create and share content for driving engagement with key publics on social media.

•   Monitor social media and respond appropriately to threats and opportunities.

•   Educate new users of social media within the community, and drive a culture of social media excellence.

Skills Requirements:

•   In-depth knowledge and passion for social and digital media

•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•   Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines

•   Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels in the organisation

•   Creative thinker able to set strategy to action and show results

•   Self-motivated with a zeal for continuous professional improvement

Key Technical Requirements:

•   Knowledge of PR & brand communication

•   Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and content management tools

•   Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools

•   Knowledge of HTML will be an added advantage

Key Educational Requirements:

•   Bachelors Degree in any discipline

•   MUST have experience working in a similar role
