RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Managing and Maintaining up to date forecasting data within specific business units  

•   Maintain master data related to demand planning

•   Generate statistical forecasts leading up to a consensus demand plan on a monthly basis

•   Assist with and take an active role in facilitating and controlling the demand planning monthly process and meetings.

•   Maintaining disciplined procedures to ensure accurate and timely information from process and systems are available when required

•   Monitor, analyze and publish in an appropriate format demand plan performance.

•    To work with business teams to analyze, evaluate and implement corrective action with a view to improving forecast accuracy over the next six month forecast horizon.

•   Manage product rollovers, new introductions, discontinuations in order to best meet business objectives

•   To assist in controlling finished goods inventories & service levels optimization

•   Review and analyze actual sales vs demand on a weekly basis, inform and take necessary or propose corrective action to realign demand plans.

•   Create, maintain and analyze learnings covering events that could impact future demand

•   Ensure that inter branch or company demand has been included in the total demand.

•   Working with Budgets and Latest view forecast plans

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•   A recognized tertiary qualification, diploma or B-degree

•   3-5 years experience in a Demand Planning Supply chain function (preferably FMCG)

•   Understanding of and experience using acknowledged Supply Chain and forecasting systems

•   Computer literate with advanced spreadsheet and database knowledge
