We are always looking for suitably qualified professsionals who are interested in working with us on an independent contract basis.

At the moment, we need resources that can consult in the areas of Safety, Process Safety Management, Asset Productivity, Operational Excellence, Capital Effectiveness, Energy Efficiency, Environmental Management, Sustainability, Contractor Management, Training & Development.

Role Description

DuPont Sustainable Solutions consultants facilitate, coach, mentor and assess at all levels of business and across all industries.  We match our consultant capability to each client needs both from an organization level and practical requirements.  Our consultants work at three different levels.

Facilitator

Your role will be to:

•      Arrange logistical aspects of leading assigned seminars.

•       Instruct and lead client workshops in the area of safety management and other practice areas using personal experiences to embellish materials.

•      Lead discussion of case studies for practical application.

•      Contribute to improvement of workshop content using feedback from seminars

•      Develop relationship with DuPont clients and learn the clients' operations.

•      Contribute to improvement of workshop using feedback from seminars

•      Discuss any additional request(s) from the client with the Project Manager.

•      Keep up to date on safety topics and statistics within DuPont.

•      Assist in the training/mentoring of new facilitators.

Consultant

Your specific responsibilities as a consultant will depend on client needs and your own experience and knowledge in a particular subject area.  Your role will be to:

•      Analyze client's systems in safety and other practice areas.

•      Establish and maintain client relationships.

•      Guide client through best practices through coaching and mentoring of managers and key influencers at middle management level and below.

•      Support DuPont Project Manager and Business Development Team in developing new or additional business.

•      Deliver some/all of the program content, if required.

•      Assist client in developing goals, objectives and action plans.

•      Provide specific client assistance in areas where client needs support.

•      In conjunction with Project Manager Provide written report to DuPont on client's progress against goals.

•      Assist in training/mentoring of new Facilitators and Consultants.

Senior Consultant

As a Senior Consultant, you form part of the project leadership team and it is likely you will work at the most senior levels within the client. You role will be to:

•      Analyze client's needs and present analysis and recommendations.

•      Support DuPont Project Manager and Business Development Team in developing new or additional business.

•      Guide client through best practices through coaching and mentoring of managers and key influencers at all levels, including senior management.

•      Interact with and influence senior executive team within client.

•      Deliver some/all of the program content, if required.

•      Assist client in developing goals, objectives and action plans

•      Lead a team of Consultants and/or Facilitators to deliver project outcomes.

•      Support Project Manager in developing client liaison plans.

•      In conjunction with Project Manager, audit client project status, progress and issues.

•      In conjunction with Project Manager, provide written report to DuPont on client's progress against goals.

•      Assist in the training/mentoring of new Facilitators, Consultants and Senior Consultants.

Working Arrangements

Independent Consultants are self-employed and are paid a daily consulting rate plus expenses by DuPont.  Consultants must be available to work for a minimum of 100 days per year however DuPont does not guarantee a minimum level of work.  Please note it is not possible for our consultants to pursue additional consulting interests or consulting work for other organizations which is similar to consulting work done by DuPont.

Training

All consultants (full-time and independent) undergo 2 weeks on-boarding training with DuPont to learn our methodologies. You will then co-train/consultant as a trainee for a period alongside an experienced consultant.  Whilst all accommodation and travel expenses will be paid, DuPont does not pay consultants to attend the on-boarding program.

If selected, we will contact you by phone initially for a short discussion regarding your interest in and suitability for a consulting role with DuPont.  Following this, if both parties are interested in pursuing things further, you will be invited to complete a case study and prepare a presentation to be delivered to several members of our consulting team.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/ Technical competencies :

•   BS / BA in Engineering or equivalent in relevant technical or business major, MBA / MS is preferred.

•   At least 10 years of professional experience being 8 years of consulting and solutions development expertise, providing fee based services in a customer facing role and at least 2 years direct operations supervisory responsibility preferably  in industries such as  light and heavy manufacturing, oil and gas, utilities, construction or  transportation

•    Mastery of standard office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Project; familiarity with Mini Tab, Visio and Lotus Notes; Six Sigma methodology or similar tool is a plus.

•   Willingness to travel up to 80% in support of client engagements.

•    Fluency in both written and spoken English and one other EMEA language. Any other will be a plus.

•    High Level understanding of the essential cultural elements of world-class safety and Sustainability/Operations, fundamentals of safety managing systems and sustaining tools/processes as well as demonstrated experience in the applying safety/ health regulatory requirements in a commercial setting.

•   Demonstrated complex customer engagement experience, with multiple large, strategic projects, preferably some global, establishing and maintaining relationships with high-level customers being able to prove delivery of high , revenue growth, profit and customer satisfaction consulting and services solutions.
