To accelerate the largest deals across Aftica and Middle East we seek applications for an elite team of Enterprise Architects.

Applicants should be very senior IT architects, Head of IT Architecture or CTOs, with significant experience of helping businesses transform their IT approach – for example by moving to a standardized, consolidated and more agile IT estate, application modernization and rationalization, or exploitation of data.

The Enterprise Architect will be working close – depending on each case – with the Oracle consulting Sales, with the Project managers, with EMEA Enterprise Architects team as well as with the Licenses Sales team to develop new business as well as to position  Oracle's Solutions at the heart of the largest Transformation projects. Participation and follow up is also part of the Enterprise Architect.

Oracle Enterprise Architects bridge the gap between business and technology –speaking the value language of business and technology C-level individuals. They combine a deep understanding of technology, applications, industry best practices, business processes and architectural patterns to drive IT transformation initiatives that meet the business objectives of our customers.

Ideal Candidates will be seasoned senior level professionals who not only possess deep experience with technology transformation but also significant experience in applications.

The role is predominately a Sales Consulting role but also delivery, with positions open across Africa and Middle East.

Responsibilities:

•   Contribute to and drive largest Oracle X-LOB deals in EMEA as directed by country/cluster board with rigorous sales focus.

•   Work in collaboration with local account team (X-stack –hardware, technology and applications), Global Client Advisors

•   Lead all consultative selling enabling services including domain architects, sales consulting, IBUs and Insight

•   Exercise creativity, independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

•   Interact with all roles at customer – including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, technical staff and Business representatives

•   Articulate case for change

•   Lead detailed discovery analysis

•   Conduct repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap and planning workshops

•   Provide assessment of current state architecture and recommendation of future state architecture

•   Provide detailed sizing and associated justification

•   Identify and evangelize key business and technology benefits of adoption

•   Provide roadmap and migration methodology and identify quick wins

•   Advise on organizational impact of solutions

•   Play an active role as part of the EMEA architecture community

•   Remain fully aware of relevant architectural programs and assets from Oracle worldwide

•   Remain aware of all relevant product developments and references – both at Oracle and at competitors

Skills required:

•   Wide background including architecture, implementation and delivery of large-scale hardware and software systems in real-world situations

•   Wide knowledge of IT market and trends

•   Knowledge of full Oracle stack (ideally)

•   Some specific knowledge of Oracle and competitor hardware solutions

•   Some specific knowledge of Oracle database and middleware technology

•   Some specific knowledge of Oracle applications

•   Some specific knowledge of Oracle industry solutions

•   Detailed knowledge of architectural approaches including consolidation, cloud computing, virtualization, disaster recovery, information management, big data, java applications, Oracle and non Oracle applications

•   13+ years experience relevant to this position.

•   Significant C-level presentation experience

•   Flexible to travel across EMEA region.

•   Relevant local language skills are a plus.

Brief Description:

•   As a recognized authority and leading contributor within the practice, this senior-level consulting professional has broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product/technology families.

•   Works directly with Consulting sales to analyze customer business needs.

Detailed Description:

•   Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.

•   Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals.

•   Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staff plans.

•   Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers.

•   Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge.

•   Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team.

•   Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions.

Job Requirements:

•   8-10 years of relevant experience including 4 years of consulting experience.

•   Prior team lead or manager experience.

•   Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

•   Broad product, technology or industry expertise.

•   Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions.

•   In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices.

•   Knowledge of competitive & partner products, technology and solutions.

•   Ability to travel as needed.
