Head coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi has admitted that Monday's 6-1 win over Tahiti was not as straight forward as it appeared on the surface.
.
Nnamdi Oduamadu's hattrick and Elderson Echiejile's brace powered the Africans to a comprehensive win over the Islanders as both nations faced off in their first game in Group B of the 2013 Fifa Confederations Cup.
.
Keshi has now passed his verdict on the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) champions describing them as "not a bad team".
.
"(Our performance against Tahiti) was okay but because we didn't have any idea of the them, we did not know what to expect so it was difficult," Keshi said after the game.
.
The Nigeria trainer however criticized his players for failing to play at their usual tempo in the game.
.
"We did not play at our usual tempo We gave them a chance to come back at us and play in a compact way in the middle.
.
"They are not a bad team. With more training sessions, they might become a very good team. I am more concerned with happens in with my team," Keshi concluded.
.
Nigeria will next face South American champions, Uruguay at the Arena Fonte Nova with a win guaranteeing progression to the semi finals.
