Job summary: The Analyst, Policy and Strategic Studies will provide research and administrative support to the Unit.  The job holder reports to Senior Manager Policy and Strategic Studies

Key Responsibilities:

1.   Assists in the review and development of policies and instruments for industry improvements and development and to address problem areas

2.   Assists in the development of regulatory instruments and the monitoring of the performance of existing regulations

3.   Assists in the development of detailed action plan for implementing government policies within the regulatory regime

Person Specification:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

1.   Fair knowledge of the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry

2.   Ability to work with minimal supervision

3.   Good analytical skills

4.   Strong written and verbal communication skills are imperative

5.   Must be good in Microsoft office packages, such as Word, Excel and Power Point

Educational / Professional Qualification(s):

1.   A good University Degree in Energy Economics, Political Science, Law, Administration, Engineering or related discipline

2.   A Master's degree or professional qualification will be an advantage

Work Experience: Minimum of 4 years post qualification experience
