SCHEDULE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY (ABSU) 2013 POST–UTME SCREENING EXERCISE

1. All candidates who selected Abia State University (ABSU) as their first and/or second choice in the 2013 JAMB Examination, and who scored 180 and above in the said examination are hereby invited to a post–UTME screening exercise scheduled as follow:

DAY   AND DISCIPLINES

DAY 1: Tuesday, 30th July, 2013 - Medicine and Surgery, Optometry, Nursing, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial chemistry, Industrial physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Animal & Environmental Biology, Environmental Resources Management, Education/Mathematics, Agric. Economics & Extension, Food Science & Technology, Soil Science, Crop Production & Protection, Animal Science & Fisheries, Plant Science & Bio-Technology, Architecture, Building.

DAY 2: Wednesday, 31stJuly, 2013 - Accountancy, Management, Economics, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Education/Business Studies, Education/Accountancy, Education/Economics, Estate Management, Fine & Applied Arts, Urban & Regional Planning.

DAY 3: Thursday, 1st August, 2013 - Law, Mass Communication, English language/literature, French, Religious Studies, History & International Relations, Sociology, Information Science, Philosophy, Linguistics & Communication Studies, Education/English, Education/French, Education/Religion,  Education/History, Education/Igbo.

DAY 4: Friday, 2nd August, 2013 - Geography & Planning, Public Administration, Library & Information Science, Education/Library Science, Education/Management & Planning, Education/Guidance & Counseling, Education/Political Science, Education/Social Studies.

N .B: All DIRECT ENTRY candidates should also present themselves for the screening exercise on the day and date for their chosen discipline, as listed above. There would be no separate dates for the screening of direct entry candidate.

2. VENUE: Abia State University, Uturu.
3. TIME: 9.00 a.m. Prompt

3. METHOD OF APPLICATION

Eligible candidates should proceed to any of the following banks:
OKIGWE: First Bank PLC; Keystone Bank PLC; Ecobank PLC; Zenith Bank PLC, Fidelity Bank PLC, and Union Bank.
UTURU: ABSU Micro Finance Bank LTD; Mainstreet Bank PLC.
UMUAHIA: Mainstreet Bank PLC; Skye Bank PLC; Zenith PLC.
ABA: UBA Bank PLC, Aba–Owerri road branch and Union Bank PLC, Aba – owerri Road branch to obtain the scratch card registration.

The value is two thousand seven hundred and fifty naira (N 2,750.00) only.

a. Proceed to any internet Centre for registration.
b. Log on to Absu portal (www.absu.edu.ng) and complete application form.
c. Finally, confirm your entry and print a copy of the form as evidence of your registration.

4. CLOSING DATE: The deadline for the on–line registration is Friday 26th July, 2013.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates should come to the university on the scheduled days with the following items:
1. 2013 JAMB slip
2. Post–UTME Acknowledge slip
3. One recent passport–size photograph with full names, course of study and JAMB registration number written at the back.
4. Writing materials (pen, pencil, etc.).
