Dr Yerima Ngama                        The Chief Executives Officers of all the Parastatals and heads of departments in the Federal Ministry of Finance were in the Ministry's headquarters to sign the performance contract which was aimed at achieving the goals and targets assigned to their Ministry.

The Minister of State for Finance, Dr Yerima Ngama in his opening remark, advised all the Directors and CEOs to take the contract seriously as each of the Departments and Parastatals will be evaluated according to their adherence to the goals and targets set before them. The Minister enjoined them to take their work seriously so as to retain the image of the Ministry as the first among equals.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Danladi Kifasi urged the CEOs to be result oriented since their successes in various Departments and Parastatals will serve as catalyst to the overall achievements of the Ministry. He went further to tell them that as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, he relied so much on their hard work and dedication to move the Ministry forward.

The Permanent Secretary reiterated his commitment to build a family-like management team that will be ever-ready to deliver at any time and leave a remarkable legacy thereafter.

Dr. Danladi Kifasi witnessed the signing of the contract by all Departmental heads in the Ministry.

Dr. Ngama, while witnessing the signing of the contract by the chief executive officers, advised them to take the signing seriously, since, according to him, the signed contract document would be presented to the Federal Executive Council meeting the next day.

The Minister of State for Finance seized that opportunity to inform all those present that there was no room for Acting CEO or Acting Permanent Secretary, unless such temporary positions are approved by the President. He frowns at situations where some officers were asked to hold brief for the Permanent Secretaries or Chief Executive Officers rather than the designated Acting Permanent Secretaries or Acting CEOs.
