Greece's Mavrias Headed For Sunderland

Greece international midfielder Charis Mavrias is set to join English Premier League side Sunderland from Panathinaikos, the Athens News Agency reported on Wednesday.

The Greek Super League club said a verbal agreement has been reached over the transfer of the 19-year-old for a fee of for three million euros.

The agency reported that Sunderland had an initial offer of two million euros rejected by Panathinaikos two weeks ago.

Mavrias has made two appearances for the Greek national team and has played at all levels in the country's youth teams.
