Graduate Research Assistant Position at Columbia University

The Earth Institute, Columbia University is pleased to announce a research assistant position for the Spring 2010 semester. Full time students interested in getting first-hand experience in public management are encouraged to submit applications to serve as a research assistant at the Earth Institute, Columbia University. This position will pay $15 per hour and is for 10 to 15 hours per week during the spring semester. There is a possibility of extension to the summer.

POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The research assistant will conduct research in the fields of public management, environmental policy and management, New York City politics and policy, waste management, and citizen participation. The RA will assist a senior member of the Earth Institute and professor of environmental policy and public management with literature reviews, general research for papers and books, copy editing, and fact checking, as well as with administrative tasks. Applicants must have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. Graduate students with public management experience are preferred.
