Obama Heads for G8 Summit in France

 U.S. President Barack Obama is expected to address the turmoil in the Arab world at the G8 summit in France Thursday.
President Obama will attend the first major world meeting just days after delivering his landmark speech in Washington, calling for support of political and economic reforms in the Middle East and North Africa.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is chairing the meeting of eight leading economies in the French resort town of Dauville. Arab uprisings, Japan's nuclear crisis and global economic issues are expected to dominate the talks.
President Obama will arrive in France after a three-day visit to Britain where he discussed global issues with Prime Minister David Cameron.

The two agreed that allied military operations in Libya will continue until leader Moammar Gaddafi stops attacking civilians and gives up power.
Speaking in London Wednesday at a joint news conference, President Obama said there will be no letup in the pressure on Mr. Gaddafi. He later told the British parliament that the U.S. Britain and their allies stopped a massacre in Libya and will not relent until what he called the shadow of tyranny is lifted.
President Obama will also visit Poland for talks with central European leaders before returning to the United States to visit hurricane-devastated areas in the U.S. Midwest.
