Job Title: Manager, Sales Planning and Performance Management

Locations: Lagos, Nigeria

Employer: Etisalat Nigeria

Job Summary: Provide support and guidance in monitoring and controlling financial performance through budgeting/ forecasting processes and monthly reporting

Principal Functions:        

•   Contribute continually to improve forecasting quality and accuracy and design and develop enhanced procedures for long-term business plans

•   Execute complete strategy alignment with business plan, budget and business processes

•   Review sales trends and ensure understanding of trend bases and implications on sales plan and forecast

•   Design a working sales budgetary model to capture all sales operational and expenditure requirements, including building different models for sales canvassing, shop promo activities, Dealer Management Opex requirements, Shop capital requirements, etc

•   Monitor the process involved in the ordering of sales stock re-order and ensure workability

•   Work with all functional Sales heads to continuously benchmark revenue and cost ratios against standard models and other globally accepted standards

•   Prepare monthly management and performance reports

•   Manage the preparation and presentation of all sales financial management reports and activities in order to achieve effective information dissemination and decision-making by Sales top management

•   Perform expert variance analyses to identify key performance drivers and reasons for variances versus forecasts and business cases

•   Plan and ensure onboarding of approved manpower for all sales channels

•   Plan and ensure provision of required tools of trade for qualified sales team-members

Educational Requirements:        

•   First degree or equivalent in a relevant financial/ accounting discipline

•   Relevant professional qualifications/ certifications, e.g ACCA, will provide an advantage

Experience, Skills & Competencies: Between six (6) and eight (8) years' directly relevant post-NYSC experience, with most recent three (3) years in a supervisory role

Ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

•   Excellent writing skills

•   Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Visio

•   Proven experience in financial statement analysis, budgeting and forecasting
