We are looking for an accounting and finance professional to help us manage our growing financial environment. The ideal candidate would have a deep understanding of accounting systems, standards/principles, financial reporting and the preparation of books. This role would oversee all activities related to the group's tax, audit as well as accounting, compliance and other regulatory obligations; have the opportunity of advancing an already existing accounting system with the requisite processes and systems from scratch and hire team members to fill roles as the unit grows. Responsibilities:

•   Prepare monthly financial statements, including Group accounts and reports

•   Perform regulatory agency reporting and ensure full adherence to relevant statutory, compliance and regulatory requirements

•   Prepare regulatory documents (including PAYE, VAT, WHT) and ensure they are remitted within the allowed timelines.

•   Prepare required accounting supporting documentation and validations

•   Provide timely and accurate financial information for decision making

•   Ensure adequate cost management for improved business margins and performance of the company

•   Ensure effective and efficient internal control to safeguard Company assets

•   Prepare other management performance reports as may be required

Required Qualificatons and Compitencies:

•   First degree of Higher National Diploma in any related discipline

•   At least three years relevant experience in an accounting department with similar responsibilities

•   In-depth knowledge and understanding of Nigeria's accounting standards, tax laws (PAYE, VAT, WHT etc) is essential

•   Ability to prepare financial statements, including Group accounts from the beginning to the end must be clearly verified.

•   Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills.

•   Ability to prepare pivot tables, v-look ups and write macros a big plus
