JOB SUMMARY:

•   The HR Business Support Officer operates within the Human Resource Shared Services Center seconded to OER, and is primarily responsible for assisting the HR Business Partner in providing the business with the professional support and guidance it requires to attract, retain, manage performance, develop and reward a world class workforce that will effectively contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives.

•   The incumbent is responsible for providing day-to-day HR administrative support for the assigned business entities. He ensures that identified core HR Value Systems are timely & seamlessly implemented for the entities while ensuring adherence to Policies.

•   In addition, he maintains & updates entities' staff information & transaction processes.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic;

•   Assist in developing HR systems, policies, structures and processes for assisting assigned business entities achieve identified business needs

•   Help provide an effective monitoring system to ensure entities HR issues are closed out

Operational;

•   In conjunction with recruitment manager, Conduct orientation & on-boarding session for new hires

•   Coordinate confirmation process for new employees

•   Implements deployment decisions

•   Arrange exit interviews, ensure appropriate documentation and provide attrition information

•   Provides employee salary information for Remuneration & Benefits administration

•   Maintain updated organizational structure for assigned entities

•   Monitors the Learning & Career Development plan for the entity to ensure full implementation as defined in entity or departmental budget.

•   Liaise with Performance & OD Unit in coordinating entities annual performance management activities (covering performance planning/target setting, performance monitoring, periodic performance appraisals and arbitration sessions).

•   Represents the department at events and committees; develops meeting agendas, materials and minutes as required; follows up to implement HR decisions reached at meetings.

•   Quality and effectiveness of day-to-day administrative support provided

•   Proactive human resource need identification for the business entities

•   Impact of training and career management initiatives on staff performance

•   Effective and timely resolution of staff issues

•   Timeliness of exit management interviews and effectiveness/usefulness of data

•   Internal customer satisfaction levels

•   Promptness/timeliness of service delivery

•   Quality and comprehensiveness of personnel information/data

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

•   1st degree in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Administration etc. or other relevant field

•   3 – 5 years HR operational and/or consulting experience within a reputable and structured business environment, preferably a multinational corporation within the Oil & Gas industry
