Job Title: Reporting Officer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Recruiter: Deep Blue Energy Services Limited (DBESL)

Sector: Energy, Oil and Gas

Reporting To: Head of Planning & Reporting


The scope of the job comprises:

•    Review, develop and maintain the Project reporting procedure

•    Ensure all reporting for the Project is undertaken, including: – Establishing and maintaining a calendar of all reporting required. – Preparation of Project Weekly Reports, based on inputs obtained from Package Managers and – Discipline Heads. – Preparation of Summary Monthly Report to TUCN MD, based on the weekly reports for the reporting month. – Preparation of Project Monthly Report (two versions – one internal and one to Partners) based on inputs obtained from Package Managers and Discipline Heads. – Preparation of six-monthly report for PJC/TDO based on the reporting period’s monthly and reports. – Assistance to Head of Planning and Reporting in preparing the bi-annual ‘Fiche Report’. – Undertaking of other reporting as directed by the management. – Obtaining necessary internal approvals for the release of any reporting. – Issuance of reports as directed by the management. – Preparation and issuance of Minutes of Meeting for the Project weekly meeting and other meetings as directed by the Management. – Coordination and preparation of presentations to Partners and Authorities as requested by the management. – Liaising with all relevant Project staff to ensure information for all reporting requirements is obtained in a timely manner. – Liaising with Project staff responsible for Venture Management and the relationship with NAPIMS and NCDMB ensure relevant external reporting is issued in a timely manner and as directed by the management. – Maintaining an archive of all reports issued and documentation created. – Assistance in the development of and execution of a communication program for the Project. – Fully comply with office security, health and safety instructions. – Stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings. – Report to Management on any issue he/she may face or observe and propose way of improvement.


The job holder is accountable:

•    to ensure relevant procedures are followed, priorities are dealt with and documentation is of the required standard.

•    to take care of colleagues safety and behaviour without hesitating to intervene as much as necessary.

•    to give his own input and making sure the workplace is safe (obviously clean and tidy).

•    to fully comply with Security rules about travelling in Nigeria.

NECESSARY PROFILE:  – Experience in the Oil & Gas industry within a client organisation.  – At least 5 years experience in reporting in a Project environment.  – Good team spirit and open communication skills.  – Well organised, diligent and proactive. – Able to work with people at all levels across the project hierarchy.
