Job Title: Photographer (In-House)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Employer: Taafoo Limited

Responsibilities:

•   Take professional photos of models according to the company's specifications.

•   Adjust apertures, shutter speeds, and camera focus based on a combination of factors such as lighting, field depth, subject motion, film type, and film speed.

•   Create artificial light, using flashes and reflectors.

•   Sorting, resizing, coding and filing all images for easy access on our database.

•   Establish and maintain excellent working relationship with models so they feel at ease in front of the camera.

•   Responsible for boosting the morale of the models.

•   Create the required setting for the photo shoot so needs to use props and back drafts.

•   Produce unique photo concepts that will attract customers to the products.

•   Determine desired images and picture composition; and select and adjust subjects, equipment, and lighting to achieve desired effects.

•   Estimate or measure light levels, distances, and numbers of exposures needed.

•   Enhance, retouching and editing photographs, creating slideshows for the website, and prepping photos for use in catalogues and the web.

Requirements:

•   A strong commercial photography portfolio that demonstrate expertise in applied techniques and a working knowledge of digital photography, lighting, composition, color quality, and aesthetics.

•   Candidate must have minimum of three (3) years photography working experience.

•   Ability to work independent of others.

•   Excellent written and oral communication.

•   Strong on-the-job creativity.

•   Ability to meet deadlines.

•   Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other photo-editing software.

•   Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process improvement.

•   Is comfortable mentoring and providing oversight to team members to ensure consistency.

•   Strong on-set skills and attention to detail.
