Jack White's Ex Karen Elson Files Restraining Order in Custody Battle

Model and musician Karen Elson has been granted a restraining order by a Tennessee judge against her ex-husband, rocker Jack White.

Saying she "fears for her and her children's safety" as a result of her husband's alleged harassment, Elson claims in her affidavit for the order that White had a violent temper and sent her threatening texts and emails over custody arrangements for their two children, Nashville's The City Paper reports.

White, a 38-year-old Detroit native who rose to fame with The White Stripes, is barred from having any contact with Elson, 34, "except as it relates to parenting time with the parties' minor children," the paper says, citing the court order.
