Fenerbahce Launch Fresh €15m Bid For Emenike

Fenerbahce have reportedly launched an improved offer of 15m euros for Nigerian striker,Emmanuel Emenike after its initial bid of 13 million euros seems to have been rejected by Russian club,Spartak Moscow.

Fenerbahce,through its manager,Ersun Yanal revealed on Wednesday that talks were ongoing between both clubs after the Russian nes agency had reported a day earlier that both clubs had agreed a 13m euros fee for the Super Eagles striker.

Another top Fenerbahce official,board member Talat Yılmaz also confirmed the club is talks are in advanced talks with Spartak Moscow.

"We are in talks with Emenike and we hope to reach an agreement with him soon," Yılmaz told Russian daily Izvestia.

"The transfer fee will be covered by the board members and close associates of the club".

Fenerbahçe signed Emenike from Karabükspor for €9 million in 2011 but the Nigerian international was sold to Spartak for €10 million without playing a single game for the Yellow Canaries.

Emenike was arrested and held in detention for four days following his suspected involvement in the match-fixing scandal which rocked the country last season.

The 26-year-old striker has been cleared of all charges and is now free to return to Turkey.

Emenike still has three-years left on his contract with Spartak.
