Role Summary/Purpose: The Project Development intern will report directly to the Project Associate/Execution Director. The individual will provide administrative and transactional support to the Project Associates and Execution Directors during the administration of Joint Development Agreements with GE's local development partners in the Nigerian power industry.

Essential Responsibilities: The role will provide interns (at the university undergraduate level) with initial exposure to the Nigerian Power industry. It will also provide exposure to GE's strategic intent in the Nigerian power industry (i.e. the creation of an additional 10,000MW to the national grid) and how this objective will be achieved.

The specific responsibilities/activities associated with this role are as follows:

•   Filing/Administration of project documentation specific to each Joint Development Agreement(s) executed by GE and respective development partner(s);

•   Preparation of minutes of project meetings

•   Support in the process of developing proposals to prospective development partners

•   Support in evaluation and screening of potential JDA candidates

•   Support during administration of Joint Development Agreements

•   Support Project Associate in the administration of Project Development Expense Budget for each respective JDA

•   Support Project Associate in tracking Project Development timeline for each respective JDA

Qualifications/Requirements:

•   Undergraduate major in Business, Management, Finance, Engineering or Economics,

•   Demonstrated interest and basic knowledge of the Nigerian Power industry

•   Strong administrative skills and document management capabilities

•   Strong interpersonal skills,

•   Fluency in English required

•   Proficiency in utilizing MS Office suite (i.e. MSWord, Mintercoursecel and Powerpoint)

•   Dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active

•   Team Player

•   Good communication skills
