JOB DESCRIPTION:

We seek an experienced Stores Manager with strong leadership capabilities the purpose of this roe is to effect:

•    Management of stores personnel to ensure the implementation of sound store practices

•    Implementation sound inventory control procedures and improvement of existing procedures.

•    Responsible for the safekeeping and inventory management of all the items in the store

•    Liaising with the Accounts department to ensure all entries into the stores/ accounting system are valid and kept up to date at all times.

•    Supervising and partaking in all stores activities as listed in the main activities list.

•    Receiving, issuing of goods delivered and collected from stores. Inventory management and accurate recordkeeping on various systems of all goods received/ issued.

•    Provide weekly reports to management regarding critical items reorder levels

•    Periodic store count against equipment as per SAP/ SAGE records

This individual will be expected to undertake the following tasks:

•    Receiving and safekeeping of equipment/ materials delivered by forwarders

•    Validating documents (PO, Delivery notes, Invoices) against equipment delivered

•    Update SAP data base with goods received data

•    Update SAP data base with goods issued data

•    Arrange equipment in an logical organized way in the store

•    Preparation of equipment and waybills of equipment to be shipped out.

•    Stocktaking and review of inventory levels

•    Labeling and scanning of equipment (All)

•    Preparation of Commercial Invoice for international shipments

•    Space Management

•    Weekly Stocktaking for Management and Purchasing Dept.

•    Participation in Quarterly and Annual Stock counts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Secondary School certificate, HND/B.Sc. in any social science or Industry related course

•    At least 7 – 10 years in inventory control.  Accounting experience/ background will be an added advantage.

•    Must be computer literate.  Familiar with stores and inventory management applictions (SAP, SAGE)

•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, honest, reliable and leadership skills
