Job Title: System Engineer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Responsibilities:

A Senior Systems Engineer is an advanced level Systems Engineer responsible for presales technical/functional support activity to prospective clients and current customers with some supervision. This is an individual contributor position reporting to a Systems Engineering Manager.

•   Work as part of sales team to formulate account strategies

•   Conduct requirements surveys at customer sites

•   Discuss and articulate solutions to business problems with customer’s executives and staff

•   Own the technical relationship with the customers and is responsible for ensuring that Documentum wins product evaluations

•   Architect Documentum-Applications-based solution to customer’s problems

•   Build and deliver custom presentations to customer

•   Demonstrate products to small and large audiences

•   Develop competitive knowledge and leverage in sales cycle

•   Keep up with industry trends and best practices

•   Conduct and lead customer onsite Proofs-of- Concept

•   Be a visionary to our prospects.  Continue to develop and expand industry and product knowledge

•   Own the technical relationship with the customers and is responsible for ensuring that Documentum wins product evaluations

•   Provide innovative solutions and strategies to solve complex issues and client’s business problems

•   Provide detailed evaluation of opportunities, task plans and technical approaches for projects

•   As integral member of the sales team, provide effective presentations, demonstration and technical support

•   Develop specific areas of expertise in addition to maintaining broad product skills

•   Travel within your assigned territory as required

Requirements:

•   BS or MS in Accounting, Business, Engineering or Computer Science

•   5+ years experience within the software industry

•   A minimum of 3 years experience working in a pre-sales capacity supporting packaged software

•   solutions or experience with Documentum’s solutions

•   Minimum 1 year as a Documentum SE or vast industry experience

•   Experience with Documentum, Web Programming languages, Application Servers, ECM or Web solutions helpful

•   Experience in systems analysis and/or client needs analysis

•   Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

•   Ability to lead a team to solve complex business / technical issues

•   Ability to work as a team, yet work independently on complex problems

•   Proven analytical and problem solving skills

•   Exhibits good project planning and time

•   Management skills.  

•   Ability to build and support applications and / or core products demo systems

•   Exhibits strong leadership and mentoring skills

•   Knowledge of business systems applications

•   Sales experience, a definite plus

•   Prior pre-sales support experience with competitor
