Job Title: Health Officer

Location: Nigeria (Ogun, Oyo, and Ondo)

Responsibilities:

•   Assist in developing Health and Safety Policies for Nexant.

•   Implement Health & Safety policies on site and in the office.

•   Surveys, compiles, and analyzes data relating to occupational and environmental health issues which are known or suspected of being real or potential detriments to health on various job sites.

•   Assist in reviewing project designs to ensure Health & Safety guidelines have been addressed.

•   Performs field and safety measurements, safety evaluations, and hazardous waste evaluations on all project design.

•   Implement or recommend control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.

•   Assist during safety briefings.

•   Conducts safety inspections and audits on client sites.

•   Prepares weekly reports to be collated for monthly reports on all client sites.

•   Monitor and review accident reporting on all client sites.

•   Attend progress meetings to discuss/ resolve any safety issues arising.
