Institutional, Policy and Water Governance reform Expert for Adamawa State Water Supply and Sanitation Sector Reform Programme, Phase 3 (WSSSRP III) – Nigeria

Contribute to poverty reduction, sustainable development and the achievement of the water and sanitation related MDGs.

WSSSRP III addresses the issue of poor access to safe water supply and basic sanitation services in 3 three participating States. It will focus on improving water governance and access to service delivery in these States. WSSSRP III will aim at deepening the gains of previous programmes, especially in the following areas: – Policy and institutional reforms – Community ownership and management of constructed facilities – Civil society organizations and private sector participation in services delivery

The programme aims to improve water governance and institutional capacity for increased access to safe, adequate and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene services in Adamawa, Ekiti and Plateau States.

Requirements:

•   A University degree in Policy Studies, Economics, Development Studies, Engineering or other directly related fields

•   Proficiency in English.

•   At least 5 years' experience in water-related projects whose content must include institutional and policy reforms in developing countries

•   Experience creating or establishing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems for the water and sanitation sector;

•   Experience with preparing grant proposals or implementing  an  NGO's grant project is required

•   Experience with EDF procedures is an advantage.
