WORK RELATIONSHIPS: Analyst – Research

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years in investment banking, with 3 years in research  

JOB SUMMARY:

•   Responsible for providing support to the company's business through provision of expert analysis of projects and investments for both the Company and its clients.

•   Preparation and publication of periodic research reports on business, economic, political and other socio-economic issues for consumption of the Company's human resources as well as select clients.

•   Review industry specific development and trends to identify opportunities for the company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Providing research support for project analysis and evaluation.

• Carrying out advanced research on general economic dynamics and identification of investment opportunities.

• Acting as an advisory to Company and clients by reviewing and recommending investments based on risk and return analysis.

• Creating financial models using electronic spreadsheet

• Validation and testing of models

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Finance or related fields

• ICAN/ ACCA/ CFA (certified/ongoing) will be of added advantage.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of statistical analysis

• Knowledge of complex financial modeling

• Understanding of theoretical applications and principles

• Knowledge of political and socio-economic trend analysis

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Keen mathematical, statistical and analytical skills

• Acute eye for details and ability to plot trends

• Learning and researching

• Leading and supervising

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Writing and reporting

• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

• Advanced research skills

• Applying Expertise and Technology(Microsoft Office)
