Arewa Youths Laud GEJ On Sack Of Youth Devt Minister

A day after the Youth Development Minister, Inuwa Abdulkadir, was sacked, Arewa youths have hailed the decision as a welcome development and praised President Goodluck Jonathan for removing the Minister.

The youths, under the aegis of Arewa Youth Forum, AYF, said the former minister did not deserve to occupy his position any longer, having lost touch with issues relating to youth welfare and development.

National President of AYF, Alhaji Gambo. Gujungu, made the position of the youths known while reacting to the removal of Abdulkadir in an interview with Vanguard.

According to Gujungu, Abdulkadir refused to listen to advice by well-meaning youth groups in the north on how to tackle the myriad of challenges confronting them on a daily basis.

"We see the sack of the minister by President Jonathan as a welcome development," Gujungu said, adding that it could not have come at a better time than it did.
