Applications are invited from interested candidates for the position of a Compliance Manager at our BATS Office Lagos – Nigeria.

Requirements:

•        Must be a charted accountant with a minimum of Five years' audit management experience.

•        Must possess good accounting and financial management understanding.

•        Must have strong communication skills with the ability to interact internationally.

•        Must have high work ethics and ability to travel.

Key Task / Responsibilities:

•        Responsible for managing all compliance within the group, including internal and external audit management, SOX compliance management & IFRS convergence management.

•        Management of all accounting and Finance policies and procedures.

•        Managing the compliance committee for WASBU.

•        Maintaining the Key Controls list, the process flow charts in conjunction with the MIS team.

•        Performing Self-Assessment testing & running internal audits as prescribed by management.

•        Maintaining the SOX File and being accountable for the accuracy thereof

•        Completing the month end policy checklist

•        Preparing the agenda and maintaining minutes from the quarterly audit committee and liaising with management and committee members to ensure remedial practices are executed.

•        Maintaining the policies and procedures manual & managing internal audits.

•        A member of the group Compliance Committee in Houston.

•        Liaison with internal audit group in Houston and external auditors.
