About the programme

We align our Wholesale Bank International Graduates to one of three business streams and provide training that gives you the full experience of the business you are operating in. Our 12-month programme is designed to accelerate your career and give you all the experience and exposure you need to do amazing work.

Programme streams

You can choose to complete the Wholesale Bank International Graduate Programme in one of three programme streams:

•   Coverage & Corporate Finance

•   Financial Markets

•   Transaction Banking

Within each stream, you'll have the opportunity every day to leverage your unique strengths and discover what you are insanely good at.

Each role rotation will ensure you develop a crucial understanding of key functions of the business, as well as the skills and knowledge needed to carve out an amazing career within our Wholesale Bank.

Critical training and development to set you up for success

Our programme commences with an International Induction Programme (IIP) hosted in Shanghai for the 300+ graduates we hire from across the globe. This week is all about what is means to work for Standard Chartered and will kick start your global network with programme participants and business leaders from across the world.

The IIP is followed by a five-week specialist Wholesale Banking Induction Programme, also held in Shanghai where you will given the fundamental technical skills, knowledge and experience to kick start your banking career.

International graduates in the Financial Markets stream will attend an additional week of training and development in Singapore, where we'll work with you to explore your strengths and preferences to identify the best front office rotations for you.

During the programme you will be given access to on the job training, specialist programmes and professional development designed to help to maximise your strengths.

We'll also support you to complete a Chartered Financial Analyst Level 1 qualification before the end of your 12 month programme.

From day one you will have a dedicated support network including your mentor, line managers, buddy, relationship manager and Talent Management team all working to help you succeed.
