2012 NRF Fellowships: Competitive Support for Unrated Researchers (CSUR) Programme

The Competitive Support for Unrated Researchers (CSUR) Programme falls within the Knowledge Fields Development (KFD) Directorate of the NRF.  The various programmes and initiatives within the KFD are aimed at contributing to the promotion and support of research. Its specific role is to facilitate the advancement of the frontiers of existing and the development of new fields of knowledge, and the necessary associated research capacity within the context of national research and developmental challenges and strategic initiatives.

To complete an application, access the electronic system at http://nrfinterim.nrf.ac.za. 

This is an interim electronic submission system and applicants need to register on this site if not yet done; as well as on the NRF Online electronic system at http://nrfonline.nrf.ac.za if not already registered in order to complete or update their CV. 

Applicants should ensure that all screens of the CV have been completed/updated including the Research Profile and Research Outputs. 

All applications should be validated by the respective Institutions' responsible Designated Authority (DA), and must be submitted to the NRF by the DA no later than Saturday, 30 July 2011. Internal closing dates should be set and adhered to, to allow proper validation before submission to the NRF. 

The submission system closes on 30 July 2011 and all internal processes should have been completed by then, including the electronic submission of applications to the NRF by the DA.
