Our client is an upscale facilities management company specialised in property/project management and other specialised services.

The company requires the serviced of an experienced professional to fill the following position:

In this position, you will perform the duties and responsibilities of a Company Secretary as required by the Corporations Act and the Company's policy. As the company secretary, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring that the company complies with its statutory obligations under any relevant laws and regulations

• Keeping statutory records – maintaining registers – ensuring requisite retention of documents and records

• Arranging/coordinating board meetings; setting agenda; compiling and circulating papers to management staff prior to meetings; taking minutes of meetings; initiating and directing action to give practical effect to decisions

• Assisting with/attending to signing of contracts and other documentation in connection with administrative matters

• Assisting the Managing Director/CEO and managers in conducting meetings and their directorial and governance obligations and responsibilities

• Establishing a timetable of corporate actions required during the year and preparing company secretarial reports to the management team

• Liaising with accountants, lawyers and other professional advisers in relation to various corporate matters

• Attending to other matters as required by management from time to time

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree-qualified in any social sciences, humanity or law discipline (Membership of the Institute of Chartered Secretary Association of Nigeria ICSAN will be an advantage)

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years' cognate experience in administrative, office management or secretarial functions

• Familiar with Microsoft Office tools

• Excellent management and interpersonal skills
