We are currently looking for a Graphic designer for our client who is a reputable Online Travel Agency with an International Presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•   Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

•   Interpreting the business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose;

•   Developing interactive design briefs by gathering information and data through research;

•   Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts;

•   Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;

•   Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers;

•   Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists

•   Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief and demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches

•   Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors and presenting finalised ideas and concepts to account managers;

•   Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment.

•   Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.

•   Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

•   Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs such as QuarkXPress, FreeHand, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Acrobat, Director, Dreamweaver and Flash

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•   Graphic Design Skills, Layout Skills, Creative Services, Customer Focus, Creativity, Flexibility, Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Desktop Publishing Tools, Acute Vision, Handles Rejection

•   Graduate/post graduate degree in BTEC national course in art and design. Any design-based course

•   Relevant courses in graphic design, illustration, 3D design, fine art, visual art, photography, film/television, communication design.

•   At least 5 years of relevant working experience

•   Mature, patient and persuasive.
