Job Title: Volunteer – Strategic Advice for Youth Organization

TASK:

•   As a growing organization, OROL will be applying for grants to help establish structures, systems and the requisite framework needed to sustain her existence while positioning her to compete for and access donor funds that contribute to her mission

•   We are looking for an online volunteer who is familiar with the work of civil society in Nigeria and has an interest in supporting a youth organization, and who can provide strategic advice for the further development of our organization.

•   It is expected that the volunteer will work with our organization for 6 months, we will provide him or her with a detailed work plan and activities of the organization. We shall do skype call meeting weekly to organize, discuss and plan.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Our programs are also focused on empowering young people, girls and women and the activities are designed to support their development, skills as well as enable them to provide solutions on issues such as intercourseual and reproductive health and rights, HIV/AIDS, self esteem and decision making power. OROL reaches out to its target audience through knowledge sharing, educational and social activities, including organizing workshops, lectures, trainings and campaigns and community sensitization.

OBJECTIVE: If we have skilled volunteers to perform the stated tasks, we will be able to:

Be better positioned to develop her strategic plan document, constitute and effective Board of Trustees and hire key full time personnel to aid the effective implementation of our work plan

REQUIREMENTS: We are looking for a volunteer with relevant qualifications, experience and skill sets such as a background in organizational capacity development and management.
