Job Title: Generator Electronic Technician

Location: Yola, Nigeria

The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking a Permanent Generator Electronic Technician. This position is a local position and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.

SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Generator Electronic Technician is responsible for installation, troubleshooting and repairingof mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies and panel systems. Work includes production, field service, returned materials, and engineering setups, installations, testing, certification, and repair of AUN facilities Generators.

Position Requirements:

•   Must possess relevant trade test

•   Must possess problem solving skills, strong digital and analog skills, ability to troubleshoot in a logical manner.

•   Professional, clear verbal and written communication.

•   Must have experience using the following equipment: DVM, oscilloscopes,   recorders, hand tools, such as soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.

•   Must be able to exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

•   Generate failure analysis and problem report to management.

•   Advanced training in electronic theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school, military training or multiple years of on the job training.

•   Electronic fabrication abilities a plus

Other requirements, abilities for the position:

•   Ability to productively work independently and as an overall integral plant staff team member.

•   Ability to work extended hours if and when required.
