Elegbeleye: FG Strongly Behind Eagles

Director General of the National Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeleye has assured members of the Super Eagles of the Federal Government support ahead of Sunday's World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.

The Eagles will be guest to the Walya Antelopes in the first leg of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier this weekend before hosting the East Africans in the reverse leg in November.

Elegbeleye stated that the Federal Government has promised that they will make sure the team lacks nothing in their quest to be one of the five African teams that will be in Brazil.

"We are looking forward to the game between the Super Eagles and Ethiopia and we hope they get a favourable result," he began.

"And I am assuring the players and the coaching crew that they will not be lacking in terms of support from the Federal Government as they are ready to give them the maximum backing to see that they qualify for next year's World Cup in Brazil," he said.
