Job Description: An opportunity has arisen for a senior level individual to assume the position of Nigeria COO assuming full control and accountability for the largest producing assets my client has managing the full breadth of their portfolio, staff, commercial relationships and activities in Nigeria covering Exploration, Development & Production.

This position will manage and own all aspects of day-to-day technical and operational activities both onshore and offshore Nigeria .

The successful candidate's background will include:   – A substantial technical & operational background with a successful track record in managing complex and fast moving operations – Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse teams and ensure consistent setting and hitting of any and all objectives and milestones – Excellent understanding of upstream operations both onshore an offshore West Africa – Financial awareness and the ability to develop and implement budgets in an Upstream producing business – Proven ability to build and develop long-term commercial external relationships in West Africa – A proven influencer at both local staff and group board level

The successful candidate will have had significant exposure to West Africa (ideally Nigeria) and have previously held or currently hold a senior 'head of', Director, VP or 'C' level position (ex-pat or local) in the region.
