EID EL KABIR: Dickson Urges Mulisms To Promote Peace

As Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid El Kabir, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has called on Muslim faithful across the country to promote the positive attributes of humility, loyalty, love and unity, which constitute the key components of the celebration.

Dickson in a statement in Yenagoa also wants them to always emphasize the importance of religious tolerance in the Country as a vital ingredient for peace and development to thrive in all ramifications.

He noted that this year's celebration affords Nigerians of all religions and ethnic divides, another opportunity to correct the wrongs of the past and return the country to that enviable position it has always occupied in the African continent and beyond.

Describing Nigeria as one of the most endowed nations in the world, he called on Muslims to eschew all forms of acrimonious and divisive tendencies and see other Nigerians , no matter their religious inclinations as close relatives and work collectively for the overall growth and development of every section of the country.
