The Chairman, Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Hassan Kafayos, has advised the G-7 Governors to sheath their sword and embrace dialogue.

Speaking in Kano during the inauguration of the party's remaining nine members of the caretaker committee yesterday, Kafayos reminded the G-7 governors to appreciate that God was responsible for the emergence of Jonathan as the President of Nigeria, which is beyond human comprehension.

Members of the Caretaker Committee included Shehu Sagagi, Kawu Gurijiya, Tukur Sallau, Jafar Sani Bello, Lawan Yanusa, Almed Tukur Rabiu Dan Shariff and Ladidi Garba. He explained that God gives power to whoever deems right.

He said: "Our country is facing various forms of development challenges. There cannot therefore be a more auspicious time than now for all citizens, irrespective of party divides to join hands together and collectively move our country forward under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan."

Kefayos further said that the committee would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all the conflict resolution mechanism to achieve full and total reconciliation of aggrieved party members in Kano State is employed.

Delivering his remarks, Nigerian Ambassador to China, Aminu Wali, charged members of the party in the state to give the committee their unflinching support and solidarity as they undertake their tasks. He equally challenged the committee to be firm and resolute in the quest for justice with a view to bringing an end to crisis in the party.
