The Minister of Works,  Arc. Mike Onolememen has requested the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) to educate its members to make good use of the road infrastructure in the country, reiterating that better use of the roads would facilitate the Association's business.

Arc. Onolememen stated this when the National Executive Council of RTEAN led by the Executive National President, Alhaji Shehu Musa Isiwale paid a courtesy visit to his office.  He added that the Ministry will give the needed support to the Association in its quest to develop various motor parks on the nation's highways.

The Minister disclosed that the Federal Government is already simulating the private sector to participate in the establishment of road parks so that trucks would not be parked indiscriminately on the nation's major highways.

He solicited for the co-operation of RTEAN in the continuous drive to transform road infrastructure in the country, while recognizing the Association as a major stakeholder to be reckoned with in the Nigerian road sector.

Earlier in his address, the leader of the delegation and Executive National President, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Alhaji Shehu Musa Isiwale expressed appreciation to the Minister for the Ministry's modest achievements in positively transforming the  Nigerian road sector, while promising a much sustainable partnership between their Association and the Ministry in the daunting task of making Nigerian roads safe and motor able.
