Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has described the death of foremost human rights activist and former United Nations economic consultant, Dr Baba Oluwide Omojola, as a great loss to Nigeria.     Amosun, according to a statement, said Omojola was a quintessential human rights campaigner, democracy icon and economist of distinction.     "He contributed immensely to the enthronement of the current civil rule. Nigeria has no doubt lost a dogged democracy campaigner, man of principle and defender of the downtrodden masses," the governor said.     Amosun added that the co-founder of the Pro National Conference Organisation (PRONACO) lived and died for the cause of a better Nigeria, noting that "his place in the pantheon of democracy fighters is assured."     The governor commiserated with the family of the renowned activist and human rights community Nigeria. He urged the family to take solace in the fact that Baba Omojola led an exemplary life. While praying for the repose of his soul, Amosun prayed to God to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
