World Bank commends Nigeria's Commercial Agriculture Development Project

The World Bank says it is satisfied with the Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Nigeria's Commercial Agriculture Development Projects (CADP) which commenced in June 2009.The bank said both the government and the beneficiaries took the lead in the design and preparation of the project adding that this was the first project in Nigeria where government provided counterpart fund for project preparation. Last year, World Bank approved $150 million (then N22, 2 07,500,000) for CADP in Nigeria.
