1 Dead, 3 Injured As Farmers, Herdsmen Clash In Jigawa

At least one person was killed and three others wounded in a clash between farmers and herdsmen in Guri Local Government Area of Jigawa on Friday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the farmers and herdsmen engaged themselves in battle at Dorawaji village at about 11.30 p.m. on Friday.

Mr Muhammad Gidado, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), confirmed the incident.

Gidado said in a telephone interview that two injured persons had been taken to the General Hospital in Guri and the corpse deposited in the morgue.
