The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state has urged the people of the two warring towns of Oba-Ile and Oba-Oke in Olorunda Local Government Area of the state to allow peace reign in the two communities and shun every form of intimidation that could further spur feud between the two towns.

The party also hailed the timely intervention of the state government and the state command of the Nigeria Police, which brought about peace in the two neighbouring towns.

The party's Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Mr. Kunle Oyatomi in a statement issued in Osogbo yesterday appealed to the people of the two communities to allow peace reign in the communities and forget the past in order to move forward.

Oyatomi who explained that development could only take place in a peaceful atmosphere, said the APC led government of Mr Rauf Aregbesola cherish peace and would not allow anything to affect the peaceful coexistence which various communities in the state enjoy. He also warned the people of the two communities to embrace peace and live together harmoniously as it was the case in the time immemorial.
