Nigeria will soon have its own Wisteria Lane. EbonyLife TV and Disney Media Distribution EMEA released a joint statement Monday announcing they will co-produce Desperate Housewives Africa, a new series with "an African soul" based on the ABC comedy-drama hit that aired in the U.S. for nearly a decade. The African version will be filmed on location in a gated upscale community outside Lagos, Nigeria. The show, premiering next summer, will include a pan-African cast and showcase fashion from Nigerian designers. [AP]
