Super Eagles goalkeeping coach, Ike Shorunmu, has described Lille Metropole shot-stopper, Vincent Enyeama as "a top goalkeeper."

Shorunmu's praise for the Nigerian number one comes against the backdrop of his recent clean sheets in goal for the French Ligue 1 outfit.

The Nigeria goalkeeper trainer said Enyeama is a brave footballer open to learning and facing new challenges.

Shorunmu, a former Super Eagles goalkeeper, is not surprised that Enyeama's recent performances in the French top flight is attracting rave reviews.

"Vincent is always a top goalkeeper for me. I'm not surprised that he has been fantastic this season for his club. He is always open-minded in terms of seeking to learn and Vincent doesn't run away from challenges whether new or old and that's what makes him brave.

"I'm happy Vincent returned to France and has proven that he is a top goalkeeper after the earlier difficulty he had at his club. I believe he is among the top goalkeepers in the world right now," said Shorunmu to supersport.com.

Shorunmu is now expecting Enyeama to replicate his superb form for Lille at international level as Nigeria face Ethiopia in a 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifying match on November 16.
